Ford launches limited edition Fiesta

Those considering the purchase of a new car may benefit from the news that Ford has launched a limited edition Fiesta model.

In order to celebrate the popularity of the Ford Fiesta over the past 30 years, the manufacturer has announced that 400 Anniversary editions of the hatchback are to go on sale.

The Fiesta Zetec S has yellow paintwork with a chequered flag design on the roof, while being equipped with a 1.6-litre engine and air conditioning.

It has over £1,400 of extra equipment installed and could be of interest to those who may otherwise customise standard cars, a process which can cause car insurance premiums to rise.

Motor insurance is traditionally calculated by a number of factors, including the size of the vehicle's engine and whether it will be parked in a garage or on a street.

Cars with lower engine sizes typically incur lower premiums, due to the lower top speed and acceleration available to the driver.
