Car insurance customers 'must read small print'
Posted :12-04-2007
Consumers should check the small print of policies when purchasing car insurance, according to advice from one expert.
Hayley Parsons, managing director of Gocompare, has claimed that failing to read the small print of a car insurance policy could leave consumers in "financial misery".
"It's certainly important to read the small print when purchasing goods, especially for something like insurance where an oversight can leave you in a very difficult and stressful situation should things go wrong," she said.
Failing to take the finer points of a product into account could leave car insurance customers without adequate cover.
Meanwhile, Saga recently advised Britons to seek out comprehensive motor insurance when planning a driving holiday in Europe.
The advice came after research from the firm revealed that 3.1 million motorists cross the Channel in a car each year, with the intention of driving on the continent.
