A new product has been unveiled which aims to give drivers the adequate means to deal with the legal aspects of a car crash.

While motor accidents may pose a risk of injury or even more serious consequences, they might also incur various car insurance policy issues such as the swapping of information with the other driver or drivers involved.

Therefore, a product named the Collision Kit has been developed, which takes the form of a red binder, containing items such as a disposable camera, a checklist of all relevant data that should be gathered, a pen and an envelope to hold insurance and registration documents.

It is priced at $15 (£7.50) and could prove useful if photographic evidence is needed to assess the damage for motor insurance purposes.

Meanwhile, related car insurance news recently included a discovery by the World Health Organisation, which found young women to be three times less likely to be involved in a car crash.
