CIS urges holidaymakers to get covered
Posted :22-05-2007
Those considering a summer break in their caravan may be interested to hear new advice from Co-operative Insurance (CIS).
According to the company, towing a caravan and setting off for a holiday is "back in fashion" and the industry is now worth around £16 billion.
However, CIS is suggesting that caravan owners ensure they have adequate insurance for the mobile home, after a survey revealed storm damage and accidental damage to be some of the most common causes of insurance claims.
And while purchasing the correct amount of cover for the vehicle, it could be an ideal opportunity to get adequate car insurance at the same time and ensure the holiday is as worry-free as possible.
In addition, the CIS is suggesting that owners buy suitable locks for their caravan, which could remind them to also fit a working immobiliser or alarm to the car as well.
