Top ten 'bad cars' announced
Posted :03-07-2007
Drivers needing to switch or update their car insurance policy might want to consider if they are behind the wheel of a reliable car as well, following the results of a new survey by consumer guide Which? Car.
The magazine has compiled a list of the top ten worst cars - three due to their poor safety and seven "which are just plain poor".
Included in the selection are the Chrysler Voyager and Dodge Caliber vehicles, which were both noted for providing poor safety features, while the Fiat Punto was said to have "too many troublespots".
Additionally, the Renault Megane has "reliability worries" and the Citroen Xsara received poor ratings from owners.
"Arthur Daley may have gone out of business, but there are still some pretty dodgy motors out there," said Richard Headland, editor of Which? Car.
New or existing drivers may find the survey results useful if considering the purchase of a new vehicle, which could help them to stay safer on the roads and prevent car insurance claims.
