Car insurance consumers picky about parking, says Halifax
Posted :10-09-2007
New research by Halifax Estate Agents has suggested that many Brits - including car insurance consumers - are fussy with regard to where they park their motor.
Some 13 per cent of consumers admit they have attempted to stop another person from parking outside their property, according to the study.
Managing director of Halifax Estate Agents Colin Kemp recommended: "If your property does not have adequate allocated parking space, take some care and consideration for others when parking your vehicle as this can prevent any issues from arising."
The location of your parked car can affect your motor insurance premium significantly as those vehicles kept in a garage or off the road can be seen as being more secure than those left on the street.
Sainsbury's Car Insurance announced today that the average UK car insurance premium increased by some £19.80 in the twelve-month period from leading up to July 2007.
