Website regarding speeding laws launched

A website has been launched for road users who believe that more relaxed laws should apply to speeding.

Resources on speedaholics.com include forums, a news section and blogs where drivers can debate issues such as speed cameras, car insurance and other topics.

Plans are also in place to expand the site in coming weeks and months to allow users to upload content they find interesting for other site members to access.

A spokesperson said that the site has been established in order to promote responsible driving for the conditions drivers find themselves in.

"We are faced with this government putting speed cameras/cash machines where there hasn't been a history of road accidents or in places where unsuspecting drivers will be fined," they said.

Meanwhile, car insurance provider esure recently stated that November is the highest claim month for car accidents, partly due to wintry weather impacting on driving conditions and darker nights.
