Right insurance 'is essential'

Taking out an appropriate insurance policy can be of essential importance for British families aiming to keep their finances in good health, it has been suggested.

According to the Association of British Insurers (ABI), workers around the UK ought to make sure that they have an insurance policy in place that will protect their finances in the event of their becoming unemployed through illness.

In light of the financial pressures already being faced by families around the country, the association has aimed to highlight the significance of shopping around for the best insurance deals available.

Nick Starling, the ABI's director of general insurance and health, commented: "It is important when people are taking out a loan or a mortgage that they think about how they would meet repayments should they fall ill or become unemployed.
