Do star-signs affect car insurance claims?
Posted :07-02-2008
Research carried out recently by elephant.co.uk has suggested that a person's chances of claiming on their car insurance could be written in the stars.
According to the firm, British motorists born in the year of the sheep in the Chinese zodiac calendar are more likely than most to find themselves involved in some form of road accident or guilty of reckless driving.
The year of the sheep comes around every 12 years and anyone born in 1943, 1955, 1967 or 1979 may want to consider taking more care over their driving and their car insurance policies, the company has claimed.
"Although just a bit of fun, our research does suggest the year you were born could affect your driving ability," said the company's managing director Brian Martin.
Last week, a report released by esure suggested that British motorists find themselves in a third more road accidents during the winter months than during the summer when the weather more favourable for driving.
