"Eyesore" mobile home stranded after floods - Motorhome insurance
Posted :29-09-2008
Residents are furious after a mobile home has been left at a riverside, spoiling the view from the adjacent sheltered housing, it has been reported.
In news that may interest motorhome insurance holders, the mobile home was partially submerged in the floods and began leaking oil into the river, reports the Worcester Standard.
Owner Allan Roberts assured the angry elderly residents that the mobile home would be moved but he is uncertain when it will be taken away.
Speaking to the newspaper, Mr Roberts said he took the keys to the garage and was expecting them to take the mobile home straight away.
"The original intention was that it would just be there for a few days but as you can see it is still there."
The Environment Agency had to step in during the floods earlier this month and put a boon around the mobile home to prevent more fuel from leaking into the river, the source reports.
In related news earlier this month the Stockport Express reported that a grandfather shunned tradition by having a cardboard campervan coffin at his funeral.
