Ford wins award second year in a row ? Campervan insurance

A Ford model has been awarded a top accolade in the Caravan Club Towcar of the Year Awards for the second year in a row.

The Ford Mondeo won the best towing car in the £25,000 to £32,000 category in the UK's longest-running towing competition, holders of campervan insurance may be interested to know.

Caravan Club chairman Grenville Chamberlain said the returning champion, Ford Mondeo, had a lot to live up to but it triumphed again.

"The estate model's huge load space makes it a very practical caravanning car. The icing on the cake is great build quality."

Commenting on the award Roelant De Waard, chairman and managing director of Ford of Britain, said he was delighted the model had been rewarded by the Caravan Club.

Winning the overall best car to tow a caravan at the awards was the Skoda Superb which also won the £20,000 to £25,000 category.

The Caravan Club is the largest touring organisation in Europe and it has been holding the Towcar of the Year Awards for 26 years.
