New holiday lodges for village ? Motorhome insurance
Posted :30-09-2008
A Suffolk village is set to gain almost 60 holiday homes in a move that is hoped to boost tourism in the area, it has been reported.
In news that may interest motorhome insurance holders, the houses will be built to look like timber lodges and will be permanent tourist accommodation, the Evening Star reports.
The holiday lodges will be built at Stonham Barns Caravan and Camping Park which is close to the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, golf courses, craft shops and a garden centre.
Leader of Mid Suffolk district council Tim Passmore said it is a major boost to the tourist industry in the area which is always very welcome.
"The amount of money this will bring into the county and locally will be very beneficial. The economy will gain and it will help put Mid Suffolk on the map," he added.
District councillors voted to grant permission for the building of the holiday lodges in a development that will still have a field for touring caravan owners.
The county of Suffolk has a coastline of forty miles which is designated a Heritage Coast in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
