Plans for caravan park resubmitted ? Motorhome insurance
Posted :02-10-2008
A countryside park in Northamptonshire has put forward new plans for a caravan site after the original set were rejected, it has been reported.
Wicksteed Park's plans were turned down because it had not included a risk assessment for flooding, the Northants Evening Telegraph reports.
In news which may be of interest to motorhome insurance holders, the original plans included 25 holiday caravans, 100 touring pitches and 50 camping pitches.
Managing director of the park John Roberts said Wicksteed is a wonderful location for the development and the surrounding park and countryside have a lot to offer.
"This development would allow us to have permanent caravans on the site which will improve the appeal of the park," he said.
Holiday lodges were approved for Wicksteed Park earlier this year and a decision will be made on the proposed caravan site plans in December.
The Environment Agency recently issued a warning to caravan site owners urging them to be aware of the risks of flooding at their location.
