One vehicle per family for UK ? Motorcaravan insurance

Many families are considering running just one car as a result of the current financial situation and soaring fuel prices.

Research has revealed almost half of UK car owners are thinking about selling their vehicle, in news that may interest holders of motorcaravan insurance.

It also showed that motorists are keeping their current vehicle for longer, with 71 percent saying they could not afford to change their car.

When questioned about buying a new vehicle, three-quarters of females said they would not be tempted compared to 67 percent of men.

The survey also revealed regional differences showing 59 percent of drivers in the north-east are cutting back compared to 41 percent in the north-west.

Last month it was reported August this year was the worst for new car sales since 1966 as only 63,225 vehicles were registered.
