New relationship to boost training ? Motorhome insurance
Posted :07-10-2008
The caravan sector will have greater access to training and support after Caravan Industry Training and SkillsActive joined forces, it has been reported.
SkillsActive says it will work to ensure the training needs of the sector are met, which may interest holders of motorhome insurance.
The National Caravan Council said the company is already working on a scheme to bring in new qualifications for caravan workshop staff.
Elaine Clowes, chair of SkillsActive, said is delighted by the growing investment in training and skills in the sector.
"A closer involvement will benefit every caravan business, with access to training specifically designed to meet their needs," she said.
The British Holiday and Home Parks Association also welcomed the move saying it would make the government more aware of the contribution the industry makes.
In recent news the National Caravan Council reported holiday park bookings were up by 30 per cent in 2007.
