Haven 'keen to dispel myths' ? Campervan insurance

A leading provider of holidays within the UK is looking to remove some of the stigma usually associated with caravanning.

Haven Holidays has announced details of its new Platinum Exclusive caravans, which it claims are fully fitted with "all mod cons" and "fabulous sea or lakeside views".

The Birmingham Mail reports that the holiday park company has introduced the campervans to cater for a growing demand for a "more luxury" holiday in the UK.

People with existing campervan insurance can also bring their own touring caravan or tent and pitch on-site if they prefer their own vehicle to those on offer from the holiday firm.

A representative for Haven said the company as a whole was "keen to dispel some of the myths about caravanning".

"Not only is it cool to camp, in some instances it's positively luxurious," the spokesperson added.

The Inverness Courier recently reported that a caravan site near Beauly is facing legal action after it failed to comply with stop notices regarding tree felling to accommodate building work on new permanent homes.
