AA urges drivers to get van insurance

Those thinking of getting a van insurance quote or purchasing light goods vehicle insurance might be interested to hear the results of a new survey by the AA.
A Van Value Study by the motoring group found that 59 per cent of 200 van drivers questioned said their vehicle was an integral contribution to the smooth running of their company.
In addition, 24 per cent maintained they would lose money - around £362 daily - if their van was off the road for more than 24 hours.
"Vans are a big part of our culture and contribute enormously to the UK economy," said Rhiannon Parker, head of van insurance at the AA's insurance division.
She added that van drivers can face a significant financial loss if their vehicle is out of service and it was therefore essential for motorists to ensure they have adequate cover.
