Homeowners 'should keep their keys hidden'

Householders are being advised to keep their keys hidden well out of view of potential burglars.
Saga, a home insurance provider, reveals that 29 per cent of homeowners leave their spare key with a friend or relative when going away.
The research also showed that a further 19 per cent lock their spare keys inside their house.
However, the study revealed that two thirds of those surveyed were unaware as to whether their home contents insurance policy would cover them for theft of keys.
According to the survey, one in ten car owners leave their keys on visible display in the window, presenting a possible target to burglars.
"It might not be the first thing on your mind when you come home, but drivers should get into the habit of putting their keys somewhere out of sight, leaving them on display makes them an easy target for the opportunistic thief," commented Andrew Goodsell, chief executive of Saga.
Saga is a financial services provider which focuses on the provision of services to the over-50 age group.
