Handbag contents 'at risk'

Men and women are both at risk from having to make a big payout should their handbag or 'manbag' be stolen, a home insurance company has claimed.
While women may be the prime suspects for carrying expensive items, a new survey from LV= discovered that the value of men's bags are actually worth an average of £60 more than their female counterparts.
The news may spur home insurance customers into checking the fine print of their policies to see what personal possessions are covered.
"Although most household insurance providers offer some personal possessions cover away from the home, people should check their policies to see whether they require additional cover," said Andrew Beard of LV= General Insurance.
Among the top ten items carried by both sexes, a pen and mobile phone were the most popular with the latter being a potentially expensive item to replace.
Other gizmos and gadgets widely popular in handbags were found to be iPods, headphones and perfume.
LV= also offers car insurance and a range of policies for travel cover.
