Motorhome family hit with parking charge

Hapless families could find themselves forking out for more than just their motorhome insurance if they are not careful with their parking.
Andrew Saxon and his family were holidaying in Mablethorpe and found their vehicle would not fit in just one space of a local car park, reports the Louth Leader.
Because of this they purchased two tickets, thinking this would cover them.
However, on their return they found they had been given a penalty ticket.
This meant the family had to pay an extra £60 on top of the other costs of running their vehicle, such as petrol and motorhome insurance.
Speaking to the newspaper, Mr Saxon said: "It was frustrating as we had just spent money in the town, but after this experience I doubt we will be returning anytime soon."
Earlier this week, police in Lincolnshire warned people to improve security on their caravans in order to reduce the likelihood of having to make a claim on their motorhome insurance.
