Tiny feet trap burglar - Home insurance

A burglar in Gloucester was caught after police tracked his "very small" footprints, which may interest household insurance holders in the area.
Daniel Sly admitted raiding a nursing home in Brockworth and stealing property to Gloucester crown court, reports the Citizen.
Sly was arrested after footprints with an unusual tread pattern were found and later linked to a pair of his trainers, which was further backed up by the criminal's tiny feet matching the size of the prints.
Mary Harley, prosecuting, said: "The unusual pattern and the very small size were distinctive. In interview he accepted they were his shoes and that he had not loaned them to anyone else."
The newspaper reports that Jason Coulter, defending, maintained Sly has a long-term drug problem, but was determined to overcome the condition.
Judge William Hart sentenced the offender to two-and-a-half years, the minimum tern permitted.
Earlier this week, Hertfordshire police reminded the region's residents that there has been a 5.6 per cent increase in the number of houses broken into, which may prompt people to check their home insurance.
