Motorhomes banned from sea wall - Motorhome insurance

Caravans are now banned from parking on a sea wall on the Suffolk coast, which may interest those with motorhome insurance planning on visiting the area.
According to EADT 24, drivers of motorhomes will no longer be able to park on the Slaughden Quay, which is near Aldeburgh, with signs erected to remind them of this.
Suffolk coastal district council imposed the ban after receiving complaints that the wall was being damaged, while others moaned the coastal view was being spoiled and accused owners of dumping chemical toilets into the sea.
Andy Smith, cabinet member for car parks, told the news provider that the area was not designed to accommodate motorhomes, despite its popularity.
"I know that motor home drivers are a responsible group of people and will respect the new restriction - indeed since we first publicised our intention, the numbers have fallen already," he added.
However, he revealed that motorhomes and caravans are still welcome in other parts of the area.
Last week, police in the Midlands revealed they were offering advice to caravan owners in the area over the best ways to tow their vehicles, the Evesham Journal reported.
