Keep bicycles safe - Home insurance

Cyclists have been warned that leaving their bikes unattended could result in claims on their household insurance cover.
Research from Sainsbury's discovered that 84 per cent of bikes stolen from outside the home had some form of security measure in place, while the other 16 per cent were taken from inside the house.
Neil Laird from Sainsbury's commented: "Unfortunately, bicycles are a popular target for thieves as they can be relatively easy to steal and re-sell.
"It's important cyclists consider their bike security at home as well as away and ensure they have insurance against theft."
Mr Laird also claimed that 1,208 bicycles are stolen in the UK each day.
Earlier this week, David Cameron, the Conservative Party leader, was the victim of a bicycle theft.
The bike was stolen from a supermarket near Mr Cameron's home in west London.
However, the Tory avoided a claim on his household insurance cover after being reunited with the bicycle days later - although the front wheel is still missing.
