Home insurance holders in Grimsby may be interested to discover there have been two house fires in the town.
According to the Grimsby Telegraph, arsonists have attempted to torch an unoccupied house in Nunsthorpe for two nights running, starting fires in several rooms.
The criminals started a blaze in the kitchen of the property on Sunday night (August 3rd), which was put out by firefighters.
In addition, four fires in three rooms were extinguished by the Humberside fire and rescue service on Monday, with officials believing young people are to blame.
Colin Bovill, watch manager at Peaks Lane Fire Station, told the newspaper: "Fires were started in three rooms - two in a room upstairs, one in the kitchen and one in the living room. That is how we know it was definitely arson."
He also suggested copper piping was stolen from the building, although it is not known if the property has household insurance cover.
Last month, the Liverpool Echo reported that a man was rescued from his burning home by firefighters, after an attempt by his brother-in-law failed.
