A series of arson attacks have struck two Essex villages targeting cars and caravans, it has been reported.
Motorhome insurance cover holders near Manningtree and Mistley may be interested to know that police were called to several fires yesterday (August 5th), according to the Sun.
Two caravans, a Vauxhall Astra and a Renault Megane have been destroyed in the attacks, while a 44-year-old man from the Manningtree area is being questioned after being arrested on suspicion of arson.
Charlotte Haines, 20, told the newspaper: "Outside my house two cars were completely blown up.
"I woke up at about 3.30am with a sound like a bomb. I looked outside and there were big flames everywhere."
Fightfighters from Manningtree, Colchester and Dovercourt attended the blazes, which lasted until the early hours of the morning.
Yesterday, the BBC reported that eight caravans were destroyed in a fire at a sales park near Prestatyn in Wales.
