Woman duped out of cash card - Household insurance

An elderly woman in Wiltshire has been conned into handing over her bank card and Pin number when fraudsters entered her home, it has been reported.
The unnamed woman, who is in her 90s, received visitors who said they were fixing a problem with the sewerage system and she was responsible for paying it, according to the Wiltshire Gazette & Herald.
After she handed over £40, the men said they would need more and persuaded her to give them her card and Pin number.
Liddy Davidson, director of Age Concern Wiltshire, said: "This type of crime is despicable, taking advantage of the most vulnerable people in the community.
"People should always be cautious when someone they don't know calls at their door."
A spokeswoman from Wiltshire police also described the incident as "despicable" and said the woman was distressed.
Last week, inloughborough.com reported that police have warned homeowners to be wary of distraction burglaries, after a special taskforce was formed to tackle the problem.
