A man attempted to burgle a Hertfordshire home after sneaking past the owner in the garden, it has been reported.
The would-be thief attempted to raid the house in Waltham Cross when the owner was hanging her washing in the back garden, but was chased off by a watchful neighbour, according to the Hertfordshire Mercury.
Household insurance cover holders in the area may be interested to discover the man has olive skin and receding dark hair.
The neighbour also said the criminal was in his late 30s to early 40s and carried a large blue bag.
Detective sergeant Tim Johnson told the newspaper: "Fortunately the neighbour saw the offender enter the property and quickly stopped him in his tracks."
In other news, a burglar has stolen a television and a laptop from a home in Norwich after forcing the back door.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the crime, which took place in Spixworth on August 6th.
