Insurance 'needed for holiday homes' - Household insurance

The importance of having household insurance cover for a holiday home has been highlighted by experts.
According to the AA, around a third of all homes in the UK are uninsured, with two-thirds of those that are not having adequate levels of cover.
Ian Crowder, public relations manager for the organisation, said it is a "good idea" to have cover, although a holiday home will probably need less insurance than the family's main house.
"When you're taking out insurance and you're looking at contents, it's important to make sure you've got sufficient cover for everything and that you do include everything," he advised.
Mr Crowder also recommended homes in other countries, or which are left unattended for long periods, should have full security measures, with all doors and windows kept locked when the property is vacant.
According to figures from the Department for Communities and Local Government, 278,000 people had second homes in the UK, while 211,000 had houses overseas in 2005-06.
