Three caravan burglaries have been carried out in the Skegness area over the weekend, it has been reported - although it is not known if they held motorhome insurance.
According to the Skegness Standard, the first incident took place on Saturday (August 9th) in Chapel St Leonards when a handbag was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
On Sunday, thieves took cash and a bus pass from a second caravan in Chapel St Leonards, after apparently entering through a bedroom window, with two laptops being stolen in the third raid, which took place in Ingoldmells.
In response to the crimes, police are reminding caravan and motorhome owners to be alert to suspicious people in the parks and advising them not to present opportunistic thieves with opportunities through open doors or windows, the news provider reports.
Last week, the Sun reported that two Essex villages were struck a series of arson attacks on cars and caravans.
