Norwich hit by attempted burglaries - Home insurance

Families in Norwich have today been told to stay alert in order to avoid a burglary and a claim on their home insurance, according to a source.
The warning comes after three incidents in the Golden Triangle area this week, the first of which came on Monday, reports NorwichEveningNews24.co.uk.
Norfolk police today appealed for residents to be vigilant, in a warning that may interest those with home insurance cover.
The attempted burglaries involved intruders climbing through a window or attempting to force one open, the website states.
In all three cases the would-be-thieves left empty handed, with awoken homeowners disturbing them in two cases.
The news comes soon after a cat almost stopped a burglary in Lancashire, after alerting its owners to the incident.
A mobile phone was stolen from the home, but the family were able to later identify Dean Halstead as the individual behind the theft, reports the Lancashire Telegraph.
