Household insurance cover owners in Dartford may be pleased to hear that a clumsy criminal has been arrested.
A man attempted to break into a house in the Kent town by climbing through a window but found himself jammed, making it easy for police to collar him, the Daily Star reports.
The trapped thief was left hanging out of the building and was made a laughing stock as police, paramedics and neighbours watched him try to free himself.
An onlooker told the newspaper: "I couldn't believe it. He smashed the main window trying to release himself and got cut badly.
"It took a while for the paramedics to get him down. He was writhing about and cutting himself on the shards of glass."
After received treatment for his injuries, the 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with burglary by Kent police and will appear before magistrates.
In other household insurance cover news, Wigan Today has reported that a cup of tea helped catch one of the town's thieves.
David Cargin, of Lyme Cross Road, Huyton, pleaded guilty to four burglaries, two attempted burglaries and had nine similar offences taken into consideration after DNA was found on a teacup he drank from during a distraction-style theft.
