Pendle caravan stolen - Motorhome insurance

Police have warned caravan and motorhome owners in Pendle to check the security of their vehicles, it has emerged.

According to Pendle Today, a new £11,000 caravan was recently stolen from a house in Barrowford, which may have resulted in a claim on motorhome insurance.

The thieves were able to take the vehicle, which contained bikes and other camping equipment, after removing the wheel clamps which were securing the vehicle.

Inspector Russ Procter told the news provider: "This is the first caravan we've had stolen in a very long time and we would just like to put out a message of security advice to all Pendle caravan owners."

Visitors to a South Shields caravan park are also being reminded over security issues, according to the Shields Gazette.

Three bicycles totalling £700 have been taken from the Sandhaven Caravan Park, while earlier in the month a Dutch couple at Lizard Lane Caravan and Camping Site found their £1,300 bikes had been taken.
