Uninsured motorists 'drive up costs' - Motorcaravan insurance

Uninsured drivers, such as those without motorcaravan insurance, are increased the premiums of those with cover, an expert has claimed.
Graeme Trudgill, British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) technical and corporate affairs executive, said some people choose to avoid insurance as they believe it is expensive.
He also claimed drivers without cover, such as motorcaravan insurance, believe they will "get away with it" as there has never been a real drive from government to enforce the rules.
The punishment for not holding insurance is lax, according to the expert, leading to more people ignoring it.
Mr Trudgill added: "There is a levy on every single motor insurance policy which adds up to around £500million a year.
"And that means everyone is paying that extra £30 on their motor insurance."
YouGov research published by comparethemarket.com found 87 per cent believe that the government does not do enough to prevent people driving without insurance.
