Council ignores illegal caravans - Motorhome insurance

A Norfolk council's refusal to prosecute over illegally parked caravans has angered a site owner, it has been reported.
Norman Phillips, who owns the site next to Watton's horse sale, said Breckland council should prosecute the landowner who allows caravans to stay on his land, according to Eastern Daily Press.
In comments which may interest motorcaravan insurance customers, he told the newspaper: "They say themselves the law is being broken but they won't do anything about it. I have to strictly adhere to the law in the running of my site; it is justice for one and not the other."
A report by the council's head of legal services, Mike Horn, said the parking of caravans on non-registered land was a criminal offence, but it is not in the public interest to prosecute those responsible.
In motorcaravan insurance news earlier this week, the Horncastle News revealed Woodhall Spa may receive a new caravan site when its existing park closes after the summer.
