A couple woke up as a thief broke into their caravan in Skegness, which may be of concern to campervan insurance customers in the area.
The theft, which took place today, occurred at the Sealands Caravan Site in Roman Bank in Ingoldmells, according to the Skegness Standard.
Entering the caravan through a small bedroom window, the burglar woke the two residents, who are both in their 70s.
The thief took two black leather handbags and their contents, before fleeing the vehicle and heading towards the beach.
Police described the criminal as being slim and around 6-feet in height, wearing a dark zip-up jacket.
Yesterday (September 4th), Lincolnshire police appealed for help in a caravan burglary which saw a rucksack containing a football shirt, umbrella and a small purse stolen.
The Skegness Standard has also reported that a PlayStation 2, an X-Box, a remote control car and a DVD player have been stolen from a house in the town, after thieves gained entry through a conservatory roof.
