Motorhome rental rising - Motorhome insurance

Motorhome insurance customers may be interested to hear that rentals of the vehicles are increasing, it has been reported.

Southampton firm Kamper Hire revealed it has seen a rise in Britons renting motorhomes to avoid the gloomy UK weather and head to France and Spain, according to Easier Travel.

Mark Daysh, from the firm, said campervans are popular with surfers looking for breaks in south-west France and on the Spanish Basque coast, especially during September and October, which are prime times for the sport.

He also told the news provider: "We get a lot of rentals at this time of year from couples and families with pre-school children who aren’t tied to school holidays, and want to extend their summer by heading south."

Last week, motorhome insurance customers were informed that Workhorse Custom Chassis has launched a more eco-friendly vehicle called the Avanti.

The firm revealed that the motorhome aims to be 70 per cent more fuel efficient through the use of the MaxxForce 5 clean diesel engine.
