A Scarborough caravan park is one of the locations hit by flooding over the recent rain-filled weekend, it has emerged.
Cayton Bay Holiday Park was struck by the flooding following the heavy rain which hit the region, leaving guests to cope with two-foot high waters in some sections of the site, the Scarborough Evening New reports.
A man who was staying at the holiday park revealed the problems they faced during the flooding, although he did not reveal if any motorhome insurance claims will need to be made.
He told the newspaper: "I had to shift my car at about 1.30am. I got woken up at 7am saying youve got to move it again."
In nearby Pickering, the rains caused the public car park at the railway station to be flooded, causing the town's flood emergency group to be put on notice.
Yesterday, the BBC revealed that three caravan parks in Northumberland were caught up in the area's flooding, which saw around 400 people moved to safety.
