Caravan park 'threatens woodland' - Motorhome insurance

Protestors have claimed a caravan park's proposal could destroy ancient woodland in Sussex, motorhome insurance customers in the area may like to know.
According to the Sussex Express, Coghurst Hall Caravan Park, on Ivyhouse Lane, would like to build a 20-metre square fenced maintenance compound close to the area's woodland.
However, planning permission has been thrown into jeopardy, with Guestling parish council saying the move will destroy ancient woodland which is classed as one of the High Weald Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Tim Hickling, Rother council's planning chief, told the newspaper: "The site is clearly part of the woodland fringe and has not been used for any activity previously.
"I consider the introduction of a fenced yard to be unacceptable as it would prejudice the woodland edge and prevent positive regeneration."
He also explained that the development would affect the ability of the area's trees and vegetation to regenerate themselves.
In recent motorhome insurance news, the Swansea Evening Post revealed local residents in Three Cliffs Bay in Gower are blaming campers for an increase in litter in the area.
