UK offers 'a range of holidays' - Motorcaravan insurance

The UK offers people both romantic locations and activity breaks, which may interest motorcaravan insurance customers planning their next holiday.

Elliott Frisby, a spokesperson for VisitBritain, said one of the benefits of the UK is it has features which appeal to people with a range of interests.

He explained: "Britain has always been a romantic destination but we are certainly witnessing the rising popularity of niche interests that include activity breaks from watersports to 'Go Ape' treetop walkways and ziplines."

Mr Frisby singled out Cornwall as potential destination for adventurous motorcaravan insurance customers due to activities such as surfing and abseiling being on offer.

Furthermore, he said if the weather is bad, holidaymakers can stay in and make their break a more romantic event.

According to the United Kingdom Travel Survey, UK residents made 32.9 million overnight trips in Britain between January and April this year.

In addition, spending on these trips amounted to £5.6 billion, up four per cent from the same period in 2007.
