UK 'has bad driving habits' - Campervan insurance

Up to 24 million UK motorists, possibly including some campervan insurance customers, could have bad driving habits, a new poll has suggested.
According to research from price comparison website Confused.com, around 20 per cent of respondents admit to eating or drinking while driving, with 47 per cent saying they drive with just one hand on the wheel.
Furthermore, just six per cent of 17 to 24 year olds claim to have no bad driving habits, and 29 per cent of the age group say they frequently break the speed limit.
Simon Lamble, product director at the website, pointed out the dangers of reckless driving, saying: "On average, a driver with three points will see premiums leap by seven per cent, rising to 25 per cent for six points and 50 per cent for nine points."
Earlier this month, moneysupermarket.com revealed 30 per cent of drivers illegally use their phone while at the wheel.
If caught doing this, motorists can face a 54 per cent increase in the cost of their insurance premiums.
