A caravan park in Norfolk has installed a life-saving defibrillator, which may be reassuring news for campervan insurance customers with weak hearts.
The Kelling Heath Holiday Park received the medical equipment from NHS Holt and Community First Responders after being paid for by donations, according to motorcaravanmagazine.co.uk.
Staff at the holiday park have been trained by the East of England Ambulance Service to use the G3 Semi-Automatic External defibrillator in the event of an emergency and will undergo a refresher course every six months.
Mark Durrant, park manager, told the news provider: "We pray that we will never have to face a scenario in which the defibrillator is required but by having it on site offers a great deal of reassurance to our guests."
The majority of the funds were donated by the family of local man Ian Balderstone, who passed away, with other residents in the area contributing the remainder.
Recently, the Dinlle Caravan Park near Caernarfon opened a kidney dialysis unit in order to treat campervan insurance holders and other holidaymakers visiting the area from south Derbyshire.
