Support for caravan parks from bank - Motorhome insurance

Caravan park owners are among those being offered advice and funding by a bank, it has been reported.

Motorhome insurance customers may want know that Yorkshire Bank recently staged an event to increase tourism in the Lake District, according to the Lakeland Echo.

A package which aims to provided caravan park owners and hoteliers with financial support and advice was promoted in an event at the Craig Manor Hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere by the bank's Financial Solutions Centre (FSC).

Carol Barnes, business banking partner at Yorkshire Bank's FSC in Lancaster, told the newspaper: "The event was a great success for the bank, our customers and professional contacts.

"It raised awareness of all the opportunities that are available to hoteliers, caravan park owners and the area's professional community."

The FSC's specialist caravan team completed more than £80 million in funding deals during 2007.

Yesterday, the Great Yarmouth Mercury revealed that the Haven Holidays' Hopton Holiday Village has experienced an increase in demand for caravans on its 700 pitches.
