Caravan park 'almost a village' - Motorcaravan insurance

A holiday camp in Dorset has been described as a "mini-empire" by a local newspaper, which may be of note to motorcaravan insurance holders looking to visit the area.

Writing in the Dorset Echo, Nicola Rayner revealed that the Weymouth Bay Holiday Park in Preston has enough pitches for 800 caravans, in addition to room for 250 at the adjoining Seaview site.

She continues: "Weymouth Bay, almost a village in itself, also boasts two swimming pools, two adventure playgrounds, shops, eateries and a show-bar' that provides non-stop family entertainment."

In addition, the article suggests that the range of activities the park provides, such as round-the-clock entertainment for guests' children, has made caravanning holidays more popular.

Last week, it was reported by the Winsford Guardian that the Lakeside Caravan Park in Stocks held a charity fund-raiser to collect money for two good causes.

The event raised £1,140 for St Luke's Hospice and Christies, which donates money to the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
