Fundraisers delivering their donation to a good cause in Hertfordshire decided to travel there in a campervan, it has emerged.
According to the hemeltoday.co.uk, members of the Dacorum Machinery and Steam Preservation Group also used a tractor when delivering £6,000 to the Hospice of St Francis, which may be of interest to campervan insurance customers.
The group arrived at the hospice in Shootersway in Berkhamsted in a Bedford Dormobile - a 1960s campervan - and a Super County Ford tractor.
Martin Ginger, chairman of the Dacorum Machinery and Steam Preservation Group, said that the funds were raised in July at a county fair in Potten End.
Harriet Karia, community fundraising manager for the hospice, told the newspaper: "This is the second year that this group has done this event. They're just amazing, they do it all in their own time.
Last week, the Bexhill Observer reported that an event at the Winchelsea Beach Caravan Park raised a total of £1,059.30 for local good causes.
