Caravan gallery goes to Liverpool - Campervan insurance

A gallery housed in a caravan has visited Liverpool for its biennial, which may interest campervan insurance customers in the area.

The Caravan Gallery will be in the Capital of Culture for September 22nd and 23rd displaying surreal and quirky photographs of the city, the Liverpool Daily Post reports.

Claiming to be the "alternative visitor guide" to Liverpool, the caravan contains humourous pictures such as photos of a stall selling pigs' heads on St John's Market, as well as more serious works examining the regeneration of the city.

Jan Williams, one of the artists behind the project, told the newspaper: "The good thing about the caravan is it attracts everyone from the top curators in the arts world to the workmen passing in their fluorescent jackets."

The caravan gallery now houses more than 100,000 photographs from across the UK in its archives and has even displayed them in Japan.

Last week, the Midhurst and Petworth Observer revealed that Shoreham man Trevor Williams is to exhibit a caravan he made out of parts sourced from rubbish tips, eBay and car boot sales.
