Caravan park causes planning reform - Motorcaravan insurance

A national park is to improve its planning department after criticism for its handling of an application from a caravan site.
Brecon Beacons National Park Authority saw its chief executive suspended while an investigation was carried out and will introduce the new system, called 1APP, on October 1st, according to the BBC.
The authority intends to streamline the application process, after businesses complained the eight-month waiting list meant they were losing money.
Chris Morgan, the park authority's head of planning, told the news provider: "Hopefully, it will minimise the risk that we will have to go back to applicant to ask for more information, therefore reducing the amount of time it takes us to reach a decision."
In developments which may interest motorcaravan insurance customers, an inquiry earlier this year found that there were "serious failings" with a planning application for a caravan park in Talybont-on-Usk.
The Wrexham Evening Leader reported last week that the Tree Tops Caravan Park in Gwespyr has won the Bellamy Gold Award for its eco-friendly management.
