A woman who bought a caravan on eBay and turned it into her writing studio has won a prize for her poetry, it had been reported.
Holders of motorcaravan insurance may be interested to know the caravan provided Fionna Inward Allen with inspiration, the Buxton Advertiser reports.
Ms Allen, 28, won the Yeovil Literary Prize for her poem Fruit on the Tube and plans to go to university to study an art degree with her prize money.
She said studios are extremely expensive and a caravan seemed the perfect solution because the location can be so tranquil and the views inspiring, the source says.
"As soon as I step through the door it is my 'creating space' and I become more studious and focused on my work," she added.
The caravan has been at the bottom of her parents' garden for the past 12 months, according to the source.
In recent caravanning news, it has been revealed getting away for a break in a caravan in the autumn and winter months is growing in popularity.
