High-tech caravans awakening market

New high-tech caravans are bringing more people into the market, as shown at the latest industry show, as source reports.
According to The Times, the International Caravan and Motorhome show, held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre last week, showcased the new gadgetry on the market.
One motorhome even had its own self-contained SmartCar garage, while others boast flat-screen TVs and access to Skype and email.
Another vehicle which attracted attention was the custom-built, environmentally-friendly EcoStream, designed by Top Gear presenter Steve Berry and director Tighe Grainger.
It is constructed from recycled materials and features solar panels and a wood burning stove, the newspaper reports.
Steve Berry bought the vehicle earlier this year for £10,000 and then converted it.
Those who are interested in motorhome insurance online for a cheaper model will be reassured by Chris Doree, from motorhome, caravan and camping publishers Vicarious Books.
He states there are some good-quality second-hand caravans on the market as most motorhome owners look after their vehicles.
"Motorhomes and caravans don't rack by a high mileage ... so the second-hand market tends to be reliable," Mr Doree tells the publication.
