Skills training 'benefits caravan park' - Motorhome insurance

A north-east caravan park has attributed its success to a government skill initiative, it has been reported.
The Journal reveals that when former engineers Verona and Mike Woodhouse decided to establish the Allendale Caravan Park in Catton near Hexham, they sought help from the Train to Gain programme.
Although, friends at first thought their idea to buy the rundown site was not a good one, the couple managed to create a large increase in turnover over the five years they have owned it - and claim the training scheme is one of their keys to this.
Chris Roberts, regional director of Learning and Skills Council North East, told the newspaper: "After two years of Train to Gain we have seen a significant growth both in the number of employers who have engaged with the service and in the number of employees who have benefited from training as a result."
In addition, the park has been recognised in several conservation awards and boasts of regular customers travelling from locations such as Saudi Arabia, which may interest motorhome insurance holders in the area.
According to its website, the Allendale Caravan Park has won four honours in the David Bellamy Conservation Awards and two from the Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
Wildlife such as bats, deer, stoats, hedgehogs and red squirrels can be found in the area, as well as more than 80 types of bird and 60 kinds of flower.
