Caravan park opens in Kent - Motorcarvan insurance

A refurbished caravan park has opened in Kent, which may be news to motorcarvan insurance customers planning to holiday in the area.

The Bearsted Caravan Club Site has undergone a four-month redevelopment in order to increase it attractiveness to customers, after being acquired by new owners last year.

Work has been carried out to reorganise the pitching arrangements, build a secure storage compound and improve the central facilities, which now feature a disabled bathroom, games room and children's play park.

In addition, the site has been made to cater for motorcarvan insurance customers, through the extension of 15 of the 39 hardstanding pitches to accommodate the larger vehicles.

Grenville Chamberlain, chairman of the Caravan Club, which owns the site, commented: "I am sure that new visitors will greatly enjoy staying here and those who were familiar with this site before it was developed will appreciate the greater space and better facilities now offered to them."

Attractions in the area include the towns of Maidstone and Canterbury, Mote Park and Leeds Castle.

Last month, the Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen reported that a £4 million development to create a high-quality leisure park for caravans has been approved by Lancaster city council.
